Listed in the House Guide and at the local Office de Tourisme in Forcalquier. - Boating, white water rafting, sailing and other water sports in the nearby Verdon and Ubaye Valley. 45 minutes away - Fishing in a nearby lake, 5 minutes, and further a field in the rivers, and streams of the Ubbaye valley, 50 minutes away. - Thermal waters and treatments at Digne-les-Bains and Greoux-les-Bains, 30 minutes away. - Three tennis courts in neighbouring village of St Etienne les Orgues, 10 minutes drive. - Two 18 hole golf courses at Pierrevert, 15 minutes away and Digne-les-Bains, 30 minutes away. - Hunting wild boar, game birds, stags and mouflons within the Alpes Haute de Province. Season between October and January. - Winter sports and several superb ski resorts at altitudes of 3,000 metres. One and half hours drive. The four main resorts are: Praloup, Sauze-Super-Sauze, Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine and St Jean Montclar. Also raquetting, tobogganing and 2 nursery slope ski lifts in the Montagne de Lure 20 minutes away. More information in the House Guide. - Swimming, beaches, boating and sailing at Cassis and the area around Marseilles. 1 1/2 hours away. - Bicycles are available to hire in Forcalquier. 500km of marked footpaths for cycling or walking. - Horses to hired locally. Enjoy the richness of the flora and fauna and the Lavender Road from horse back or by foot. Many hiking trails surround the property and mountain huts provide accommodation for longer hikes. - The Ganagobie, Salagon Priory and many other buildings of architectural merit characterise the surroundings towns and villages retracing Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. More details in the House Guide. - The Convent and Cloister in Forcalquier, 8 minutes away, built in 1634 and the chapel in 1687. The cathedral and citadel of Forcalquier provide panoramic views of the surrounding slopes of the Luberon valley.
