The Property

The house has recently been remodelled by a London-based architect and the interiors redecorated. It now provides 600m2 of comfortable and spacious accommodation suitable to sleep between 12-14 people.

 

Main House has two staircases and provides:

 

Ground floor bedrooms

Bedroom no. 5 queen size (bed 140cmx2m) with shared separate bathroom

Annexe single bed, with separate access from the house, and shared bathroom.

 

First floor bedrooms

Master bedroom no.1 king size (bed 180x2m) with en suite bathroom/shower room

Bedroom no. 2 king size (bed 160x2m) with en suite shower room - old marble floors and exposed stone walls.

Bedroom no. 3 king size (bed 160x2m) Ensuite bathroom/shower room.

Bedroom no. 4 queen size (bed 140x2m) with shared separate bathroom

 

Living spaces

Large drawing room with terracotta floors, fireplace and high ceilings and comfortable seating for up to 14 people. Four windows with far reaching views to the mountains, leading to the terrace and the pool.

Large dining room with stone floors and beamed ceiling. Seats 14.

Large entrance hall with stone floors and fireplace and access to a boot room and downstairs WC.

Kitchen equipped with modern appliances and table to seat 10 people.

‘Summer kitchen’ equipped with modern appliances and outside barbeque-grill. Terracotta floors, stone walls and seating for up to 14 people, with views to the river and the spring. Separate larder with storage and fridge.

Large vaulted mill sitting room No.2, with old mill workings, stone walls and floors provide an interesting place to sit and have a drink at the informal 'house bar'.

Adjoining large vaulted mill “entertaining room” No.1 with stone walls and floors provides fun location for listening to music, dancing, reading or winter dining for parties of up to 20 people. Stereo and library of books provided. Billiard table.

Utility room fitted with washing machine and dryer

 

A separate studio

accessed via a small courtyard but close to the main house provides:

Large downstairs room with fully equipped kitchenette, dining area. Comfortable seating for 8 with satellite television and DVD player.

Seating area for 4-6 people. Sofabed provides occasional sleeping for two. Equipped with a working pizza oven.

Kingsize bedroom no. 6. (Bed 160 x2m) Upstairs with en suite bathroom/shower.

 

Outside space

The house is surrounded by 4 acres of its own land with views to neighbouring farm on all sides.

12 x 6m swimming pool with electric safety cover.

Terraces to north and south of the property, furnished with comfortable seating; sun loungers, tables and chairs.

Exterior table for table tennis. Volley ball area with net and rackets. Boules pitch. Three new tennis courts available for hire in nearby village of Saint Etienne les Orgues, 10 minutes by car.

 

General comments, terms and conditions

The house is recently furnished with decorative antiques, paintings and lighting providing a comfortable, modern and light atmosphere whilst in the spirit of a French Provencal home. All bathrooms have new white sanitary ware and good quality chrome fittings. All “white goods” in the three kitchens are new and each kitchen is fitted with a beautiful stoneware sink.

 

New, quality bed linen mattresses, bed bases and headboards. New towels, cooking ware, glass, crockery and cutlery adequate for 20 people.

 

No animals are allowed. The house is a non smoking zone and it would be appreciated if smokers enjoyed their cigarettes outside in the garden.

 

A refundable deposit of 1,400 euros is required against damages and breakages.

 

Cleaning 3 days per week, and weekly change of linen and towels is provided within the rental cost. Extra cleaning and housekeeping by arrangement, and at an extra cost.

 

Baby sitting and a cook by arrangement and at an extra cost.

 

Central heating in winter. Telephone and internet server by arrangement and at extra cost.
